Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website puts on your device. They can remember a choice or count a visit. This page lists what this site does, because you should decide what to allow.
What this site uses
Your cookie choice
When you click Accept or Reject on the cookie banner, your browser keeps your choice in local storage. The name it uses is cookie_consent. While it holds only your choice, the site reads it on your next visit.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
Google Analytics loads only after you click Accept. Once it loads, it sets two cookies. They are called _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. They help count visits, because they tell one visitor from another.
By default these cookies last up to two years, although your browser may cut that short. If you click Reject, Google Analytics stays off. It does not load, so it sets no cookies.
Google Maps
Some pages have a Google map, for example the contact page and the town pages. At first the page shows only a placeholder with a Show map button. The map loads only when you click that button, so Google receives nothing from your browser before then. Once you click, the map is third-party content from Google. It may set cookies, and we do not control them. Google's own policies explain what it does.
No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. Accepting the banner allows analytics only.
Change your choice
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to open the banner again. You can then click Accept or Reject. You can also clear the site data in your browser, since that resets your choice. The banner then asks you again.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you control cookies in their settings. However, the steps differ between browsers. You can do the following:
- View the cookies stored on your device
- Delete all cookies or only some of them
- Block cookies from all sites or from chosen sites
- Set different rules for first-party and third-party cookies
If you block cookies
The site still works if you reject or block cookies. You can still browse the pages and send a request. Email us if anything looks broken.
