Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Plymouth Plumbers 247 handles your details. It covers the request form, our contact details and cookies. We keep it short and plain, because you should see what happens to your information.
1. What you send us
When you use the request form, you give us your name, phone number and postcode. You may also add your address, the service you need and some notes about the job. We use these details to deal with your request, because we cannot help without them. If you contact us, we keep your contact details and your message.
We also record your IP address and your browser details when you send a request. This helps us check for spam and misuse. Since this website does not take payments, we never ask for card details.
2. Postcode lookup
If you press the postcode lookup button, your postcode goes to our server. We then ask an address lookup service, getAddress.io, for a list of matching addresses. You can skip this step, because typing your address yourself works too.
3. Who sees your request
We pass your request to an engineer who can take the job. That engineer is a separate person or business. They use your details to contact you about the work. After that, they handle your details under their own policy. Ask them for a copy, because we do not control it.
Your request also goes by email to the people who run this site. Although we store it on Cloudflare services, which also host the site, we do not sell your details. This site does not run a mailing list.
4. How long we keep it
We keep a request for as long as we need it to deal with it. We may also keep it if we need it for a complaint or a legal duty. Email us if you want us to delete yours, because you can ask at any time.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which pages people read. It loads only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, it stays off, because we do not load it. Your browser keeps your choice in local storage under the name cookie_consent.
You can change your mind at any time, because the choice is yours. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to open the banner again. Some pages also have a Google map. It loads only when you click Show map. Since that map is third-party content, it may set cookies once it loads, as the cookie policy explains. Accepting the banner allows analytics only, not advertising.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you. You can ask us to correct them or to delete them. You can also object to the way we use them. Email us and we will reply, although some limits may apply.
If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Its site has a page to make a complaint. However, we would like the chance to fix the problem first.
7. Contact us
For privacy questions, use the online request form. You can also read the terms of service, since they explain how the site works.
